A. Assuming you mean to ask about whether the curve is differentiable at a given point: If the curve can be written as r(t) = (x(t), y(t)) It will be differentiable at a point if the derivatives of x(t) and y(t) wrt t exist for a particular value of t. If one or both does not exist for some point P (x(tsubzero), y(tsubzero)), then the the curve r(t) will not have a derivative at the point P.
